Dr. Robert "Bob" Allen Sindylek, 60, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015. Bob was born in Providence, Rhode Island and earned a Master's degree in Psychology and Education with a Doctoral degree in Education. He retired as a GYSGT in the United States Marine Corps. He was formerly the Head Councilor at Texas A&M University and volunteered as a councilor with the Wounded Warrior Project and was a member of the Confederation of Leathernecks Motorcycle Club. Bob was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Sindylek and his grandparents. Bob is survived by his wife, Dana Sindylek; his mother, Billie J. Sindylek of Pensacola; daughter, Beth-Anne Sindylek of Houston, TX; a son, Drew Holleman of Houston, TX; step-daughters, Hannah, Heather and Haley; his brothers, Ric Sindylek of Pensacola, FL and Bill Sindylek of Orlando, FL and a sister, Cindy Cassady of Pensacola, FL. Visitation will be held at 10:15am Friday, January 16, 2015 with Funeral services beginning at 11:15am from Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Ken Griffin (USN-Ret) officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 12:30pm with full Marine Corps honors. Pallbearers will be Ric Sindylek, Bill Sindylek, Drew Holleman, Dwayne Cassady, Shaun Cassady and Jake Cassady.
