Obituary
Robert "Smokey" Wood, Jr., 67 of Pensacola, FL, died Sunday, October 30 after fighting cancer for several years.
He was born in Johnson City, TN on February 28, 1949 of parents, Robert Beam Wood, Sr. and Pauline Bowery Wood.
He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his cousin David Lee Wood, Jr., of Clemmons, NC and his aunt, Alice Ragan Wood, of Gastonia, NC.
His passion was for things rare, mechanical, and electronic. He was an expert repairer of antique slot machines, pinball machines and juke boxes. He was also an expert picker who never paid sticker price for anything.
Graveside Services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Holy Cross Cemetery (13th Avenue and Hayes Street), Pensacola, FL.
