Roderick E. Benton, 86, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

Mr. Benton was born on November 4, 1932 in McKenzie, AL. He earned a Masters of Business Administration from Troy University. He was retired from the USMC. Mr. Benton was also retired from the State of Alabama. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Benton was preceded in death by his father, Louis Arnold Benton and mother, Gwendolyn Sellers Benton, both from McKenzie, AL.

He is survived by wife, Judy R. Benton of Pensacola, FL; daughters, Debora Bishop (Tom) of Spanish Fort, AL, Angi Brown (Tony) of Pace, FL and Perian St. George (Robert) of Spicewood, TX; son, Robert Benton of Orlando, FL and grandchildren, Matthew Bishop, Benton Brown, Jessi Brown, Krystal Brown Baker, Chris St. George and Justin St. George.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 8:30am, Friday November 30, 2018 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Deitz officiating. Patriot Guard will lead the procession to Barrancas National Cemetery for a graveside service.

Following the graveside service, friends are invited to join the family for a reception/visitation at The Wright Place; First United Methodist Church Pensacola; 80 E. Wright Street; Pensacola, FL 32501.
