Rodney O'Neal, CPO, US Navy (ret.) of Brandon, MS passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at home with multiple organ complications.

Rodney was born in Limestone, ME on August 20, 1937 and lived in Millenockett, ME until he began his military career at the age 17. During his military stint as AOC, he served two years in Vietnam aboard the Aircraft Carriers, USS Enterprise and USS Forrestal respectively. He retired in 1974 at age 37 having received many medals.

Rodney was preceded in death by his father Angus O'Neal, mother Lorencene O'Neal and brother Norman "Reggie" O'Neal.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Pierce O'Neal of Brandon, MS; sister, Shirley Wise (Chris) of Hanover, MA; sister-in-laws, Barbara O'Neal of Anderson, SC and Glenda Talley (Larry) of Brandon, MS.

Rodney was a dedicated patriot and a kind, generous, loving and much loved husband and brother who will be missed in life and welcomed into Heaven _.

Visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be 10:00am on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Harper-Morris.  Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
