Ronald Hailey Edward Smedley, Jr., age 31, of Pace, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 6, 2018.
He was born January 8, 1987 in Orlando, FL to Ronald Smedley, Sr. and Jacqueline DelliColli. Ronnie was an alumnus of Pace High School and current student at Pensacola State College. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. Ronnie was previously employed by Portofino Beach Services, Captain Ron of Charter Boat Services and as a realtor for Levin Rinke Realty. His greatest joy was fatherhood although he also enjoyed being an avid outdoorsman. He will be remembered for his generous and outgoing personality.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his uncles, Ricky Smedley and Cpl. Larry Smedley, USMC.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Ivan Smedley and Jacqueline Smedley; the mother of his children, Stanka Smedley; mother, Jacqueline DelliColli Wilkerson (Step-Father, Doug); father, Ronald Smedley, Sr. (the late Anita); siblings, Derek DelliColli (Courtney) of Chicago, IL, Brittany Wilkerson, and Tony Tracy; grandparents, Connie Haire of Charlotte, NC, Joe DelliColli and Dorothy Wilkerson; great-grandmother, Doris Patz of Hebron, IN; nephews, Vincent DelliColli and Anthony DelliColli both of Chicago, IL; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be 10:00am until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11:00am Friday, October 26, 2018 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3295 Barrancas Ave, Pensacola, FL 32507. Fr. Eugene Casserly, a family friend as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, with U.S. Coast Guard Honors. A continuing celebration of Ronnie's life will follow the committal service in the parish hall at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
