Ronald "Ronnie" Dean Harris, age 77, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

Ronnie was born on February 10, 1947, in Anniston, AL to the late J.T. and Dorothy Copeland Harris. From an early age he loved music and taught himself to play the guitar. He participated in several bands in high school, one of them called "The Starliners". Ronnie was educated in Jacksonville, AL at Jacksonville State University earning a bachelor's degree. He proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era 1968-1970 in Germany.

Once Ronnie returned to Pensacola, after his military service, he established his business "Harris Music and Sound". He met his wife Melissa Picardi in 1992, they were married for 25 wonderful years. Together they enjoyed spending time sailing, and cruising. After retirement he developed a love for model trains and made a city model of his dear Anniston, AL in the 1950's. Many adults and children owe their love of music to his store, and to his dedication to music. He was loved dearly and will be truly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jabez T. Harris and Dorothy Copeland.

Those left to cherish his memory include, his loving wife, Melissa Picardi; his children, Maria (Mike), James Jr. (Heather), Jessica (Tim); his grandchildren, Isabella (Victor), Mercedes (Jacob) Michael, Tulla Bee, James Louis III, Austin, Carson, Tanner, Brooks; two sisters, Jan Harris and Kathy Brown; a nephew, Will Brown; and a niece, Kristen Brown.

Visitation will be held 11:00am until a Memorial Service begins at 12:00pm Friday, December 13, 2024, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32504. 850-478-3292.

A committal service will be privately held at Barrancas National Cemetery.
