Rose Marie Murray Montgomery, 75, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

Rose was born on April 18, 1945 in Cornwall, Pennsylvania. In 1965, she married David Roger Montgomery in San Antonio, Texas. During their marriage, they were blessed with three children.

Rose also served in the US Air Force during the 1960s under the WAF (Women in the Air Force) program. She retired from Pensacola Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida, after a rewarding career as a civil servant.

Aside from her military career and family, Rose had a love for music and dancing, a love she is sure to be continuing in Heaven.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma (Long) Murray; her son, David and brother, John.

She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie McCown (Shawn) and Donna Meehan; siblings, Jim Murray (Ethel), Mary Geib (Bob), John's wife Rae, Bob Murray (Barb), Pat Murray (Sue), Cecilia Boltz (Ken); seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; one grandson-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose also leaves behind her beloved friend, Susan Potter.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff at Somerby Assisted Living Facility in SRB and Emerald Coast Hospice. They would especially like to thank Heather Lane Conley, whom Rose grew to love while under her care.
