Roy Samuel Harbison, 89, of Pensacola, FL passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013. He was a WWII Navy veteran who participated in the Normandy Invasion. Roy was a devoted elementary school teacher and principal in Escambia County, FL for 32 years. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary; daughter, Linda Fleming (Stewart); two sisters, Elener Kralik and Eunice Krhut; and one brother, Corman Harbison (Billie Jean). Visitation will be held 12 noon until the Funeral Service to begin 1:00pm Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Wolfe from Cokesbury United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be held 10:30am Wednesday, July 5, 2013 at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church Cemetery in Bakerhill, AL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rocky Mount United Methodist Church, Inc., 1809 Highway 131, Eufaula, AL 36027 or to Alzheimer's Family Services, 1901 N.
