Russell Patrick Cosgrove, 61, of Cantonment, Florida passed from this life into eternal life on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at his home.

Russell was born on January 27, 1958 in Niagara Falls, New York, son of Beverly (Myers) Boczon and William Cosgrove. He attended Maple Avenue School in Niagara Falls, New York and continued his education at Lutheran High in New Orleans where his family moved to and settled. He also studied at the University of New Orleans.

Russell loved his profession as an Account Manager who was employed with Air Gas for 34 years where he earned several employee achievement awards and made many life-long friends. Russell recently became a Realtor for Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate. Although a new agent, Russell took great joy and pride in assisting both buyers and sellers.

Russell is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Karen Cosgrove; his mother, Beverly Boczon of New Orleans; daughter, Melissa Anne Cavalier and her husband R J Cavalier of New Orleans and their beautiful children, Isabella, Tripp, and Andee; daughter, Aubre Rogers. He is also survived by his brother, Chris Cosgrove and his wife Kathy and their children; sister in law, Lisanne D. Merrill brother in law Burney H. Merrill; and his favorite furry companion, Katie.

Russell never met a stranger. He was one of those people who was fun loving, warm and always made people happy with great jokes to tell to make us all laugh. He enjoyed being with family especially treasured the days when he was hunting or fishing with good friends. When not hunting or fishing he enjoyed weekends at home cooking on his Big Green Egg.

Russell and Karen met on Good Friday in 1991, and have always considered Good Friday their special day. They were married 27 years and had a unique and very strong love for one another. He will be dearly missed by all, especially by Karen.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am until the Memorial Service at 11:00am Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.
