Russell D. Fairchild, age 84, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Russell was born in Jenkins, KY on October 1, 1936. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Ruth Fairchild, Sr. and a son, Ronald Fairchild.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Fairchild, four daughters, Rhonda Leatham, Ruth Mendonca, Kristy Maracle and Stephanie Stanaway. Fifteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren also survive.

Russell served in the US Army with an honorable discharge. He was employed by Nabisco as an accountant, retiring after 41 years of service.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Rocky Crossin, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service on Wednesday.

A graveside service for Russell will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Barrancas National Cemetery, with Military honors being accorded by the US Army. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel at 9:15 AM on Tuesday to go to the cemetery in procession.
