Ruth Humphreys Bailey has left this earth and entered into the arms of our Lord on Tuesday, December 1, 2015.

Ruth was born in Pensacola and remained a lifelong resident. She was a member of Ferry Pass United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir until her health failed. Ruth was a devout in her love for God, and in her love for her family. She loved to bake and spent the holidays cooking cakes, cookies, pies, candies, and main dishes with all of the trimmings. She filled her days painting and her pictures proudly hang on the walls of many friends and family alike. Ruth has been described as a rock and surely has been a solid rock for her family. She will truly be missed.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Willard E. Bailey; son, Larry Bailey; sisters, Edith Turner and Rita Saunders; brothers, Clint, Arthur and Ed Humphreys.

She is survived by her sons, Rev. Steve Bailey (Margaret) and Richard Bailey; daughter-in-law, Leanne Bailey; sisters, Catherine Gibson and Mary Lenz; 18 grandchildren and their spouses and 16 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1:00pm until the Funeral Service at 2:00pm Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with her son, Rev. Steve Bailey officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at 9:30am Monday, December 7, 2015 at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Steven Bailey, Clint Bailey, Larry Bailey, Chad Bailey Josh Bailey, Lance McAnulty, Dustin Bailey, Victor Bell and Ryan Stuart.
