Ruth Margaret Ovans Arnold, 93, of Pensacola, FL passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

Ruth was born on May 28, 1929, in Huntingdon, Quebec, Canada. While living in Canada she met and married her husband, Colin Arnold. They moved to Florida in 1957. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church. Ruth worked in the Resale Shop for over 20 years. As a younger woman, in Canada, she enjoyed barn dances and square dancing.

She loved to visit with friends, traveling, going to dances, picnics down by the water, and helping people. She was a devoted wife and homemaker. She was a loving mother to her children and adored her grandchildren. Ruth will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Colin Arnold; son, Todd Arnold; mother, Sarah Elizabeth Ovans; father, Arthur W. Ovans; sisters, Eleanor Middlemiss, Marjorie Goodfellow, Florence Paul, and Beryl Legros; brothers, Wilfred Ovans, Gordon Ovans and Marvin Ovans.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelley Goodwin (Michael); sister, Janet Howells; granddaughter, Trisha Lyon; grandsons, Michael Stroud, and Christopher Stroud.

Visitation will be held 4-6pm Friday, December 2, 2022, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, Pensacola, FL. Funeral Services will be held in Huntingdon, Quebec, Canada at a later date. Interment will be at Huntingdon Protestant Cemetery in Huntingdon, Quebec, Canada.
