Sallie B. Fox, age 97, passed away from natural causes February 3, 2011 while a resident at Bayside Manor, Pensacola, FL. Our Mom, known as Sallie Belle, Aunt Belle, Grandma or Grandma Fox was born in Carroll County, MS on March 5, 1913. She was the second of nine children of Everette and Mamie Chatham Wigley. Her husband and our Dad, John T., predeceased her in 1990 after 58 years of marriage. She is survived by her children, JoAnn (Merwyn) Schwartz, Riverside, CA; COL John (Henrianne) Fox, USAF Ret, Fayetteville, NC and CAPT Frank (Joan) Fox, USN Ret, Pensacola, FL and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One sister, Barbara Key Clark, Oak Grove, LA and many nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces also survive her. The family wishes to thank the staff of Bayside Manor for their care and those who offered comfort and prayers. Visitation will be held 10am Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Wilson-Knight Funeral Home, Greenwood, MS, followed by a Graveside Service to begin at 11:30am at Evergreen Cemetery in Carrollton, MS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse, P. O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607 or New Bethel Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1224 County Road 121, Carrollton, MS 38917.
