Obituary

Stanley Keith "Stan" Trawick, 69, resident of Pensacola, FL, died on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Stan was born on September 27, 1954, in Brewton, AL, graduated from W.S. Neal High School, and received his associate degree in nursing from Jefferson Davis College. During his career, he was a surgical nurse at West Florida Hospital, working on the orthopedic floor for 1 year and the operating room for almost 42 years. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, watching University of Alabama football games, and occasionally cheering for the Florida State University Seminoles from the stands in Tallahassee. Family get-togethers were always treasured, including Trawick Family Reunions. Stan was a voracious reader and always shared current events before they were barely in the press! He loved attending Community Life Church either in-person or online. Stan had several health issues toward the end of his life, but he bravely persevered and kept his faith in Jesus. He fought hard to overcome his ailments but passed away quietly with his wife by his side.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Adelle Trawick; sister, Jean Savage; as well as brother-in-law, Lynn Slate.

Stan leaves behind his wife, Cindy Wise Trawick; two stepsons, Jason Jernigan (Erin) and Clint Jernigan (Ashley); a daughter, Brittney Price; six granddaughters, Breona, Brooklyn, Emma, Ansley, Evie, and Alaire; a brother, Buddy Trawick (Shelia); sisters, Pam Slate and Jenny Nichols; several nieces and nephews; as well as his puppy fur baby, Sophie.

Visitation will be held 5-7pm Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Scott Veroneau officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Stan's nephews, Brad Trawick, Adam Slate, Lucas Trawick, and Terry Nichols, Jr.

The family would like to greatly acknowledge HCA Florida West Hospital ICU's, doctors, nurses, and staff for their compassionate, dedicated, and professional care of Stan.
