Stephen D. Beckman, 88, of Pensacola, FL passed away Monday, January 13, 2025.

Steve was born on October 5, 1936, in Augusta, GA and grew up in Columbia, SC where he graduated from the University of South Carolina. After serving in the US Army, he came to Pensacola in 1960 to work for the Chemstrand Corporation. In 1962, he began what became a 25-year career in the financial services industry. In 1963, Steve married a Pensacola native, Marianne Cary, which he always considered his crowning achievement. In 1993, he started his second career spending 25 years working in the hospitality industry until his 2019 retirement from the McGuire Management Group. Steve was a parishioner at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dill and Mary Willard Webb Beckman and his stepmother, Anne Powers Beckman.

Survivors include his loving wife, Marianne Cary Beckman; son, Dill Beckman (fiancé Shannon Pair); daughter, Rhoda Beckman; grandchildren, Stephen and Wesley Malecki; brothers, Sterling Beckman (Martha) and Bill Pennewill (Tish); as well as all his special nieces and nephews.

A Mass will be celebrated 11:00am Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, with Fr. Joseph Callipare celebrant. A reception will follow in the church parish hall.
