IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Steven Louis
Corman
March 17, 1964 – September 26, 2023
Steven Louis Corman, a loving husband, father, and friend, passed away on September 26, 2023, at the age of 59. His memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Steven was born in Columbus, GA, to his parents, Robert and Barbara Corman. He was a man of diverse talents and passions, with a remarkable educational background. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Hartford, CT, and furthered his skills by studying culinary arts at the Lincoln Culinary Institute, CT. These accomplishments laid the foundation for a fulfilling career.
Professionally, Steven served as a purchasing manager and Sous Chef at the Fish House in Pensacola, FL. He adored his Great Southern Restaurant family, and they adored him in return. Steven's warm and gracious personality made him a friend to everyone he met. His culinary skills were exceptional, but his knowledge extended far beyond the kitchen. He possessed a great business acumen and used his education in various entrepreneurial ventures.
Steven's Christian faith was an integral part of his life, and he found inspiration in the teachings of Joel Osteen. His Sundays were often spent watching Osteen's sermons, and he had the privilege of meeting the inspirational figure himself. This faith and inspiration guided him through life's journey.
Beyond his career and faith, Steven had a multitude of interests and passions. He loved cooking, cheered for Alabama football, followed the Atlanta Braves in baseball, and had a soft spot for hockey, especially the New York Islanders. He was an Atlanta Falcons fan and avidly watched NASCAR, particularly supporting Tony Stewart. He also thoroughly enjoyed the music of Tom Petty. Most importantly, he treasured spending time with his family and friends and traveling to create beautiful memories with the love of his life and soul mate, Lisa.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Barbara Corman, and a brother, Michael Corman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa; children, Samuel, Lillian, Chase (Morgan), and Brittany (Ryan); his cherished grandson, Rhett; as well as his sister, Andrea Corman. His beloved pets were also a source of joy and companionship.
A memorial gathering in honor of Steven's life will be held 1:00pm-3:00pm Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the Fish House Restaurant, a place he held dear.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Pensacola or Escambia County Humane Society, causes close to Steven's heart.
The Corman family wishes to express their profound gratitude to the Sacred Heart Cancer Center, MD Anderson, Emerald Coast Hospice, and the compassionate care provided by nurses Kim, Cheryl, and Phillip. They are also deeply appreciative of the unwavering support from the Great Southern Restaurant Family during this difficult time.
Steven's memory will forever be a source of inspiration and love. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to be touched by his warmth, kindness, and gracious spirit. As we say our goodbyes, we hold onto the belief that he will be dearly missed and forever loved. Rest in peace, dear Steven.
