Susan Elaine Buck Peden, born November 21, 1947, and passed into heaven December 11, 2022.

Susan was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, of parents Thomas and Pearl Buck.  After graduating high school, she went on to graduate from Northern B. U. with a degree in English. With her knowledge of word usage she worked most of her life as an executive secretary.

Thanks to the US Navy, Sue traveled near and far including living in Japan and Hawaii.

Sue made Pensacola her home. Susan and her late husband Richard were married in 1999.

Sue's love for books led her to work in the church library where she helped update the collection to the Dewey decimal system. She also loved reading to the children of her church, Trinity Presbyterian.

Sue is survived by her sister, Ginny Graves of Kansas City, MO; brother, Ed Buck of Arizona, NV; daughters by marriage, Kim Crittenden (Jamie) and Natalie Pate (Greg); nieces, Kathryn McDonald, Karen Gundling and Bonnie Platner; nephews, James Carmichael, Steve Buck and Thomas Buck; grandchildren by marriage, Justin Pate, Holly Pate, and Kate Crittenden and great grandson by marriage, Mateo Pate.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Pensacola, Florida.
