Sylvia Faye Miller, wife of Thomas L. Miller, Jr. and daughter of the late Thelbert Cullen and Mildred Courtney Burleson, died Saturday, November 7, 2009, at the age of 71. She is at rest in the arms of her Lord, free from pain at last. Mrs. Miller was born in Summerdale, AL, but graduated from Pensacola High School in 1956. She attended Pensacola Business College for two years. Mrs. Miller retired from PR Industrial Supply in 2004. She has been a longtime member of St. Christophers Episcopal Church. Mrs. Millers greatest joy was the time she spent with her grandchildren Heather J. and Jordan T. Galloway of Katy, TX, and Samantha V. Miller of Boston, MA. Her parents and son Matthew L. Miller preceded Mrs. Miller in death. She is survived by her husband Thomas L. Miller, Jr.; son Tracy Galloway (Darlene) of Katy, TX; Mark Miller (Susan) of Boston, MA; sister Sue B. Prestwood of Montgomery, AL; many aunts, uncles, nieces nephews, cousins, as well as many longtime friends. A Private Graveside Service will be held for the family only on Tuesday, November 10, 2009. A celebration of Mrs. Millers life will be at a Memorial Service at 1:00pm Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at St. Christophers Episcopal Church, 3200 N. 12th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32503. A Reception will follow in the Parish Hall. The family would like to express their deepest thanks and appreciation to all the caregivers at Covenant Hospice during this extremely trying time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Covenant Hospice Care Center 8383 N. Davis Hwy, Pensacola, FL 32514.
