Terence Small, loving husband, father, grandfather and retired U.S. Navy Senior Chief, passed away peacefully in his home in Pensacola, FL on Sunday, April 21, 2013. He was 66 years of age. Terry, born January 16, 1947 in Portland, ME, graduated from Portland High School before enlisting in the United States Navy. In 1967, he married his high school sweetheart, Ellen and eventually had two sons, Scott and Chris. His honorable 28 year career took him and his family on a world tour in support of this great nation. A Cryptologic Technician, he spent tours on USS LIBERTY, in Germany, Scotland, Guam, Portugal, Washington D.C., Florida and Hawaii before retiring and settling in Pensacola, FL. The love for "his Navy" and this country cannot be overstated. Upon his retirement from Naval service in 1993, Terry started his second career with Escambia County Area Transit, where he spent his last 20 years. Terry is survived by his wife Ellen; two sons, Scott and Chris; his daughter-in-law Sara and four grandchildren Terryn, Turner, Alva and Oden. Private Family Services were held at Barrancas National Cemetery.
