Teresa Rice Sims, 68, of Pensacola, FL passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, as a result of complications from surgery.

Teresa was born on November 11, 1953, in Abilene, TX. She was the only child of Bob and Truby Rice, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Keith Sims; several cousins in Texas, and many friends.

Teresa and Keith met through their employment in the insurance industry in Dallas, TX. When Keith accepted a job opportunity in New Orleans, Teresa joined him, and they were married in 1983. Upon their retirement, Keith and Teresa moved from Metairie, LA and became permanent residents of Lost Key, in Perdido, FL. For those fortunate enough to know her, Teresa loved her family and friends, unconditionally, had a heart the size of Texas, and her generosity knew no bounds. Bassett hounds were her passion, and she leaves their most recent acquisition, Boudreaux, to mourn her absence and entrusted to Keith's care.

At Teresa's request, there will be no funeral. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
