On Sunday, October 17, 2021, the world grew a little dimmer when Terry DuWayne Busbee, Sr. passed away due to complications from lung cancer.

Terry was born on November 28, 1942, in Pensacola, FL to W. Clyde Busbee and Jan Bailey Busbee. He was fun, adventurous, living life to the fullest every day. Terry will be remembered for his kind heart and generous spirit, offering his help to anyone in need. Terry did everything his way, but family always came first. He was a great husband, son, father, grandfather "Papa T", and friend. Terry became owner/operator of Busbee Tomato Company after retiring from the Escambia County Tax Collectors Office. He was co-founder and coach of Bill Bond Little League Baseball, member of the Escambia County Utilities Board, Pensacola Jaycees, 32 ^nd degree Mason – Masonic Lodge #15, Hadji Shrine Temple, VFW, American Legion, Moose Lodge, Eagles, Mayoki Indians, and Krewe of Lafitte. He served 4 years in the US Air Force, traveling around the world, and completing several tours to Vietnam.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ron Busbee, Sr., and Steve Busbee.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jane Cary Busbee; sons, Terry Busbee, Jr. (Taris) and W. Clyde Busbee, II (Gretchen); grandchildren, Madeleine Busbee, Terry Busbee III, Mitchell Busbee, and Tate Busbee; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike, and Joan Gay; sister-in-law, Bonnie Lucek; as well as many special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held 1:00pm until a Funeral Service to begin at 2:00pm Friday, October 22, 2021, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Grover Bailey, Jr and his wife Pam and son, Jackson Bailey conducting. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
