Terry Sandhoff, 59, of Pensacola, FL passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020.

Terry was born July 9, 1961 in Jackson, MI and graduated in 1986 with an associate degree from College of Marin. He enlisted in the US Navy in November of 1981 and served his country honorably. Much of his naval career was spent as a Disbursing Clerk (DK) at sea and on shore. The last four years of his service were spent as a Naval Leadership Facilitator. His military awards and decorations include, Navy Battle "E" Ribbon, Navy Good Conduct Medal, Enlisted Surface Warfare Insignia, Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.

In April of 1984, he married Jill and in April of 1986 became a proud father to Kimberly. After moving to Florida and purchasing their first home, he and Jill started fostering children. They adopted their son, Shane Sandhoff in June 2003. Terry became a disabled veteran after overcoming a brain tumor in 2001. In 2007, Terry, Jill, and Shane moved to Panama and lived there until 2019.

He genuinely enjoyed working and volunteering at various VFW's. One of Terry's proudest accomplishments in life was making his first hole-in-one and even more importantly, becoming a grandfather in August 2018.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Hedrick, and stepfather, Doug Hedrick.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jill Sandhoff; daughter, Kim Whitfield and son-in-law, Chris Whitfield; son, Shane Sandhoff; his father, Frank Sandhoff; as well as grandson, Atreyu Whitfield; as well as eight brothers and sisters and 17 nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, the family will have a private family committal service at Barrancas National Cemetery with Navy honors.
