IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Therese Touart
Brannon Crumlish
August 1, 1932 – February 6, 2017
Therese, "Teet", Crumlish left this world, peacefully from her home on Monday, February 6, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.
She was born on August 1, 1932 in Mobile, AL, to Maude and Harry Touart as one of five children. She was married to Joe Brannon, her late husband for nearly 40 years. They settled in Lafayette, LA where they raised five children. Teet was a bundle of energy, always on the go, bursting with a magical creativity. She was a devoted mother who showered her children with all she had and countless novenas. Teet was a magnificent cook and she never hesitated to whip up warm family meals for anyone in her home.
In 1992, she moved to Pensacola Beach, where she dove into volunteering. She was a charter member of the Pensacola Beach Optimist Club, where she received several high awards for her works and leadership, she crafted the costumes and preformed in the Pensacola Senior Follies for 12 years and performed and contributed to the Imogene Theater and other seniors' venues. She volunteered at the Christmas and Spring Concerts for Gulf Coast Chorale.
Teet found love again at the age of 79, from then on, she lived for the next dance with her husband, Jim Crumlish. Together, they enjoyed many activities including volunteering, music and countless dear friends. For 10 years, Teet held an open house to share her famous Christmas Eve Gumbo…Southern style…with the motto "Come and stay, or have a bowl and be on your way." The house was always filled with music, laughter, and happy conversations.
With much prayer and enthusiastic hope for a miracle (51), Teet challenged her second bout of breast cancer for 6 years, with Jim always encouraging her. The miracle might have been the 6 joyful years of a very positive lifestyle and the sharing of true love.
Teet was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Joseph Brannon and her grandson, Jeremy Michael.
