Therese Lynn ‘Phillips’ Griffin, age 68, of Orange Beach, AL, passed away Monday, September 21, 2026. Terry was born February 27, 1958, in Green Bay, WI.

She was the daughter of Don and Anna Mae Phillips and traveled the world as a Navy Brat. She was the second oldest of five children. Life took her from Wisconsin to Michigan, Virginia, California, Florida, Panama Canal Zone, Morocco, Tennessee, and the Philippines. Terry graduated from Wagner High School, Clark Air Base Philippines in 1976 where she also participated in Operation Babylift. The family then moved to Pensacola where Terry made her home for many years and attended Pensacola Junior College Dental Assisting Program. She worked as a dental office receptionist greeting every patient who walked through the door with her big bright smile and her welcoming personality. Terry retired from the dental field after more than 30 years at Dr. Drlicka’s office. In retirement she found her home in Orange Beach, AL. Terry had several hobbies she enjoyed throughout her adult life. She loved the beach, speed skating, tending to her roses, quilting with her mother, and anything related to golf. Terry won several awards for speed skating and completed the oldest and most famous road skate, the 87-mile trek, Athens to Atlanta. She was also awarded several ribbons for her beautiful roses at the Pensacola Interstate Fair Flower show. Terry is preceded in death by her mother, Anna Mae Phillips.

She is survived by her husband, John “Tommy” Griffin Jr.; her father, Don Phillips; siblings, Debbie Vidas, Carey Phillips, Jacqueline Blakely, and Deanna Faulkner; her two children, and four grandchildren.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Thursday October 1, 2026, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, Pensacola, FL, 2276 Airport Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32504.
