Theron L. Broxton, 93, of Pensacola, FL passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017.

He was born in Miami, FL on November 20, 1923 to Charles M. and Ruth G. Broxton. He lived in various cities in Florida, Tennessee and Alabama during his lifetime but made his permanent home in Pensacola in 1953.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jean B. Spring of Gulf Breeze, FL.

He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Mildred Jane Rice Broxton; his three sons, Ferris Lee (Linda), Roger Kay (Valerie) and Robert Edward (Frances); 4 grandchildren, Patricia Jane (Jonathan) Floyd, Ferris Lee Broxton, Jr., Jennifer Lynn (Max) Cohen and Sarah Elizabeth (Scott) Mayer; 6 great grandchildren, Victor, Jacqueline, Sawyer, Nolan, Blake and Jewel; a brother, Joseph Randall Broxton; 2 sisters, Rheba Parish and Margaret Ann Stollenwerck. He was also blessed with numerous nieces and nephews.

Theron was baptized in the Methodist Church and was a faithful student of the Bible. He was a graduate of Ft. Lauderdale High School, Tennessee Wesleyan Jr. College and received his B.S. degree from the University of Florida. His two major employments were with Newport Industries in Bay Minette, AL and with Chemstrand / Monsanto / Solutia in Gonzales, FL. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and the American Chemical Society. While working at Monsanto, he developed several analytical lab methods. He also served as the Escambia County Chairman of the 1968 Wallace Campaign for President of the U.S.A.

Visitation will be held 10am Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Funeral services following at 11am. Chaplain Jason Adams will be officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
