Thomas "Tom" O. Bailey, Sr., entered his heavenly home on Saturday, August 5, 2023. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend to all who knew him. Tom's vibrant spirit and passion for life touched the hearts of so many. His infectious laughter and kind heart left an indelible mark on the lives he touched.

Tom was born on December 1, 1938, in Memphis, TN to the late Van Franklin and Terrell R. Bailey. Tom grew up with a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. He had an unwavering love for Corvettes, spending countless hours admiring these sleek machines. His weekends were often spent working in his yard and creating a beautiful oasis for his loved ones to enjoy. Tom's adventurous spirit was also evident in his love for motorcycles, as he embraced the freedom of the open road.

Tom's journey through life was marked by the deep love he shared with his wife, Constance "Connie" Bailey for 33 years. Their love was a beacon of strength, and they built a life together filled with happiness and beautiful memories. Although Connie preceded him in death, their love story has and will continue to inspire those who knew them. In addition to his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by his seven siblings and his stepson Mark Moore.

He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth (Tim) Smith, of Pensacola, FL, Vickie (John) Hampton, of Olive Branch, MS; sons, Tom Bailey, Jr., Mike (Debbie) Moore, of Collierville, TN; six grandchildren; two great granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.

Tom will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

While his presence may no longer be with us, his legacy of love, laughter, and joy will live on forever in the hearts of those he left behind.

A private graveside service to be held in honor of Tom's life will be held at Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville, TN on August 17, 2023.
