Thomas Carroll (T.C.) Benson, age 79, a resident of Pensacola, FL passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Bayside Manor in Pensacola. He was born on September 6, 1934 in Summerdale, AL to Irl and Elzetta Benson. Tom lived in Pensacola for over 70 years. His only other residence was in Punta Gorda, Belize where he owned a bed and breakfast called TC's by the Sea. He is survived by his three children; Philip Benson (Julie Borsodi) of Oberursel, Germany, Dr. Beverly Benson (Dr. Pamela Farmer) of San Francisco, CA and Brenda Whalen (Dave Whalen) of Loveland, CO; two grandchildren, Marina and Nicholas Borsodi-Benson; two sisters, Shirley Jensen and Earlene Henderson; two nieces and four nephews. Tom served his country for 4 years in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. His hobbies included deep sea fishing, cooking for large groups and eating great food. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 starting at 11:00am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd. in Pensacola, FL. He will be buried at Pine Rest Memorial Park in Foley, AL.
