Thomas Jerald Barnes, 81, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013. Jerald was born on June 23, 1931 in Opp, AL and served his country during the Korean Conflict in the US Army. He was the owner of Barnes Tire Company and a member of Olive Baptist Church. Jerald is survived by Betty Jo Barnes, his loving wife of 58 years; his children, Cathy (Randy) Blake, Cindy Hinote, Kenny (Shelby) Barnes, Tommy Barnes and Trish Foxworth; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4-6pm Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Monday, January 28, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers will be his 6 grandsons. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Council on Aging of West Florida, 875 Royce St., P. O. Box 17066, Pensacola, FL 32522. The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff of Life Care Center, especially Charles.
