Obituary

Clementina "Tina" Concetta Bianconi, age 83, of Pensacola, FL, went home to the Lord on Monday, February 20, 2023.

Tina was born July 3, 1939, in Strabane, Northern Ireland to the late Gabriella and Matteo Bianconi.  Her parents moved from Bassiano, Italy to Strabane in 1938. Her mother eventually moved to Letterkenny, County Donegal, Ireland where she opened a fish and chip café and raised Tina, Nino, and Ingrid.

She spent her childhood in Letterkenny attending school and helping her mother operate the Dolphin Café on main street.  She met Matthew Kilcawley and they married in 1959, they had three beautiful children, Donna, Jacqueline, and Mark.  Tina immigrated to the United States in 1963 and settled in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she lived and worked for 25 years.  She remarried in 1972 to David Sisson and remained by his side until his death in 2019.  During her lifetime Tina lived in Ireland, Italy, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Massachusetts, Arkansas, and Florida.

Tina was a loving and supporting daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was committed to her family, friends, community, and church and touched everyone's heart that she met. She believed the best day was a day you gave more than you received. She was a tireless worker and was determined to support her family.  Her work ethic was unmatched and left a lasting impression on her children and those people she worked with and for over her lifetime.  Tina had friends all over the world and the United States. She was always there for her friends and most certainly during their times of need. Tina would regularly stay in contact with family and friends through phone calls, written letters, and eventually through texting.  She supported all the communities she belonged to through charitable donations and volunteerism. She was deeply committed to her Catholic faith and regularly attended mass and other church services.  Since 2017 she has attended Saint Michaels church in Pensacola, Florida.

She was an extraordinary talented knitter and crocheter.  One of her most lasting impacts was her knitting of so many baby blankets for family, friends, acquaintances, or others that learned of her blankets.  She donated knitted hats for cancer patients and socks and mittens for military personnel stationed overseas.  Her memory of giving is represented all over the world and forever in so many people's hearts.

Tina will be deeply missed but never forgotten.  She loved to laugh and tease and was known to be a tenacious board game player and high score setter on Mario Bros. She will forever live in the hearts of her family, friends, and those that never met her but received her gifts.  Her final resting place will be with her husband David, mother Gabriella, and sister Ingrid in Letterkenny, County Donegal, Ireland.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Sisson; her brother, Nino Bianconi; her sister, Ingrid Flanagan.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her children, Donna Kilcawley, Jacqueline Kilcawley and Mark Kilcawley; her six grandchildren, Brian Bottigliero, Sean Bottigliero, Liam Bottigliero, Taylor Ricci, Shana Kilcawley and Josh Kilcawley.

Services are expected to be held in Ireland in late Spring or early Summer.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Emerald Coast Hospice, Baptist Hospital, and Dr. Kevin Schopmeyer for all their support and care.
