Tiona Monique-Marie Hill was born on December 20, 1989 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Bernard and Julianne Hill. She received a worldwide education attending schools in Hawaii, Illinois, Connecticut, Virginia, and LaMaddalena Sardinia, Italy. Tiona was a good friend and mentor while living in Italy. She taught English to her Italian student peers and adults. She graduated from Pensacola State College High in 2005.
Tiona was employed by both West Corporation and Pensacola International Airport as a Ramp Agent. She briefly spent time as a model. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful smile that would light up a room. She enjoyed both indoor and outdoor sports especially football and basketball. She and her cousin, Antonio Williams shared a special bond.
As a Christian and God-fearing daughter, she was both religious and spiritual. She and her Dad would attend Church together and this was the highlight of their Sundays.
On September 20, 2017, Tiona lost her yearlong battle with her injuries that she sustained in an automobile accident on September 28, 2016.
Tiona leaves to mourn and cherish her memories her loving and devoted father, Bernard Hill formerly from Washington, DC, now residing in Pensacola, Florida; her mother, Julianne Balais from Honolulu, Hawaii; her grandmother, Lola Williams of Washington, DC, formerly from Windsor, North Carolina; her great aunt, Ophelia Conyer from Bronx, New York; her aunts, Mary Williams from Washington, DC, Patricia Hutchinson from Washington, DC, Betty Williams from Woodbridge, Virginia, Lawanna Toney from Birmingham, Alabama; also her uncles, James Williams from Windsor, North Carolina and Jonathan Williams from Washington, DC; her extended family, A. Steven and Joyce Campbell from Laurel, Mississippi; her godparents, Jim and Nancy Newhall from Lacey, Washington; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Tiona also enjoyed special loving friendships with Yvette Bias, Tameka Williams, Terri Paquin, Pamela Mucci, Elisa Thomas, Nicole Paquin, Diamond Sneed, Minnie Kidd, Terra Kidd, Paul and Sylvia Sauls, Pete and Shirley Belanger, Terry McLain, Steve and Susan Lewis, Jackie Tate, Darrell Ashwood, Maurice and Michele Dawkins, Ron and Anesia Watkins, Melanie Zuback and family, Christina Lorea and family, Delphina Addison and family, and many others.
Visitation will be held 10:00am until a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 11:00am Friday, October 6, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Pastor A. Steven Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
