Thomas "Tom" Edgar Hutcherson, Jr., 80, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024.

Tom was born July 24, 1944, in Dickson, TN. He grew up in the Pensacola area and graduated from Pensacola High School in 1962. He graduated from Southern Miss in 1968 with a degree in Community Health Science. He coached P.E. in Slidell, LA and Belview Jr. High in Pensacola. After coaching, he worked in construction, eventually opening his own cabinetry business. Tom played numerous sports and was active in multiple leagues from bowling to tennis to softball. He loved being at the ball fields and spent most of his time at Exchange or Lions Park. He loved Coca-Cola memorabilia and coins and was an avid collector of both.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas E. Hutcherson, Sr. and Lillie Meeker Hutcherson; his first wife, Martha Legault; and great-grand daughter, Amelia Flannigan.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Hutcherson; daughters, Angela Channell, Renee Cone, Sonja Chavez (Cory), CJ Snead (Andrea) and Alicia Dotlich (Brian); grandchildren, Brian Channell, Brittany Flannigan (Josh), Michelle Lewis (Joel), Britt "BJ" Cone, Nick Ali (Breeanna), Lilianna Chavez, Sophia Chavez, Connor Snead, Amelia Snead, Sybella Dotlich, Zane Dotlich, and Deacon Dotlich; great-grandchildren, Annale Channell, William Cone, Kayzen Lewis, Kaleah Lewis, and Rowan Lewis; and his brother, Paul Hutcherson(Diane).

A Memorial Visitation will be held 2:00pm until a Memorial Service begins at 3:00pm Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Gateway Church of Christ.

The family would like to thank the staff at Santa Rosa Health and Rehab Center and Vitas Hospice for the outstanding care they gave Tom in his final days.
