Obituary

Tom died August 10, 2011 in Boothbay, ME while on a vacation trip with his wife Phyllis. Tom's death ensued as a result of complications following sustained seizures. Tom retired from the US Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. His career of 20 years took him aboard many ships and through many ports. His next career was a letter carrier with the US Postal Service for 10 years. Tom fully enjoyed his retired life spending many happy days traveling, playing golf, and caring for his family. Tom was always ready with a smile and displayed a cheerful and helpful attitude. So sad that her sweetie of a husband and best friend is gone, Phyllis rejoices that Tom is at home in Heaven, free from heart ailments, seizures and memory loss. The past 11 years of their marriage, Tom brought much happiness and love to Phyllis that will last a lifetime. Tom was preceded in death by his son, David W. Hargrove.
