IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tyler Shelton
Schroeder
December 8, 1990 – June 14, 2023
Tyler Shelton Schroeder, 32, unexpectedly and tragically passed away in Cleveland, TN on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
While residing in Cleveland for the past few years, he was also a resident of Pensacola. Tyler was born on December 8, 1990, in Fountain Valley, CA, to his parents, Dennis and Trish Schroeder.
Tyler was a vibrant and joyful individual with an infectious smile and laughter. During his childhood in California, he spent 11 years filled with joyful activities such as playing baseball, soccer, practicing martial arts, fishing, skiing, Boy Scouts, and rock wall climbing.
He attended Ferry Pass Middle School and Booker T. Washington High School before eventually obtaining his GED. Throughout his life, Tyler embraced a variety of jobs, always eager to explore new opportunities. He had a passion for helping others, playing video games (an avid gamer), fishing, reading books, and seeking knowledge about life. He believed in the adage, "Never judge a book by its cover because you'd never really know the story." His friends fondly described him as having a heart of gold and being fiercely loyal. Tyler had an adventurous, free-spirited nature and an insatiable curiosity. Above all, he adored his daughter, Kelsey, and although he may not have always been with her, he strived to be the best father he could be.
Tyler is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Patricia H. Schroeder, and maternal grandmother, Edna M. Story.
Tyler is survived by his loving mother, Trish Schroeder; devoted sister, Sarah Schroeder; cherished daughter, Kelsey Schroeder; and his grandparents, Charles W. Schroeder (Darlene) of Sun City West, AZ. He is also survived by his uncles, Tim Schroeder (Sha) of Lake Tahoe, CA; Frank Schroeder (Linda) of Claremont, CA and Larry Schroeder (Andrea) of Lake Forest, CA; aunts, Shannon Richardson (Troy) of Anaheim, CA and Lisa Wolf (Brian) of Mission Viejo, CA; as well as his cousins, Braden, Nick, Weston, Kelsey, Kiley, Courtney, Jessica, Megan, Sasha, and Camille.
Tragically, he is followed in death by his father, Dennis C. Schroeder, who passed away on July 6, 2023.
A memorial visitation will be held for Tyler and his father, Dennis C. Schroeder from 12:00pm until a Memorial Service to begin at 1:00pm Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.
