It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vee Caduhada Bersabal, 78, longtime resident of Pensacola, FL since 1972. She was called to heaven on Monday, August 12, 2024.
Vee was born on October 28, 1945, in La Castellana, Negros Occidental Philippines. She met the love of her life Jacob in 1972 in Pensacola and would be married for over 50 years. She was overly generous, very thoughtful and had a loving heart for her family and friends. It was easy for her to make friends with anyone because her social zest for life was contagious. Vee graduated with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She was a devout Catholic and active member of St. Anne Catholic Church Bellview, Little Flower Catholic Church, Charismatic prayer group of Little Flower, the Legion of Mary and the Filipino American Association of Pensacola.
She worked for over thirty years at the Joint Oil Analysis Lab on Pensacola Naval Air Station under the Department of Defense and was employed at the Gulf Ecology Division for the Environmental Protection Agency in her early career.
Vee is preceded in death by her father, Ramon Caduhada; mother, Peregrina Caduhada; brother, Ramon Caduhada Jr; sister, Xcelse Osias; son, David Benjamin Bersabal; as well as a granddaughter, Addison Heitkamp.
She is survived by her husband, Jacob Bersabal; two daughters, Fern Livesay (Tony) and Janel Heitkamp (Kevin); as well as a three grandchildren, Logan Heitkamp, Wyatt Livesay, and Charley Livesay.
To celebrate her life and the memories we cherish, a visitation will be held 10:00am until a Funeral Mass begins at 11:00am Monday, August 19, 2024, at Little Flower Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery on Pensacola Naval Air Station. There will be a reception following services. We welcome all of those whose lives were touched by her infectious joy and presence to join us. She was and is deeply loved and will be missed by many.
