Veronica Noel Richards, of Pensacola, at the age of 85 years old passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024. She was born in Orange, New Jersey to the late Thomas Paul and Veronica Eleanor Johnston Comerford. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two brothers, Thomas and William Comerford; and a sister, Catherine Comerford.

Veronica was a loving sister, aunt and great aunt who was of the Catholic Faith. She graduated from Our Lady of the Valley High School, in New Jersey. She then went on to attend and graduate from Holy Name Nursing School in Teaneck, New Jersey. Veronica practiced as a Registered Nurse helping countless people spanning over many years. Later she completed her career in the Healthcare Insurance industry.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Richard Comerford and his wife, Linda; two nephews, Michael Comerford and his wife, Trudy, and Mathew Comerford and his wife, Kelly; a niece, Cyndy Comerford; and seven great nephews and nieces, Colin, Jimmy, Everett, Maggie, Bridie, Lucy and Katie Comerford.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Holy Cross Cemetery, Pensacola, FL.  Rev. Fr. Eugene Casserly will serve as Celebrant.

Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:50 am on Wednesday.

The family would like to thank the 6th floor staff and Vitas Hospice staff and doctors at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola for the loving care shown to Veronica during her time there. Also, a special thank you to Veronica's good friend and neighbor, Joyce Stafford for the love and support.
