On Saturday February 9, 2013 our wonderful Daddy took his last breath and went to be with his Lord and Savior in Heaven. He spent many years playing football at Pensacola High School and finished his gridiron career at East Mississippi Jr. College. He served his country in World War II in the US Marine Corp as a Staff Sergeant. He returned to Mississippi after the war where he met and married his wife of 65 years Mamie Lou. He returned to Pensacola and began a 40 year career at the Navy Public Works Center where he retired. He also managed to have a 20 year career as a Professional Wrestler. He was a Mason and a member of the Hadji Shrine serving as a member of the Chanters. Our father was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pensacola, volunteering many days as a cook in the kitchen. He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Kalfus, Sr.; his mother, Eunice Mae Kalfus; sister, Margaret Forman. He is survived by his loving wife, Mamie Lou Kalfus; sons, Victor III (Robbie) and Jack (Laurie); grandchildren; great grandchildren; and many other relatives. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Friday, February 15, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ken Autrey of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Victor's memory to Briggs Chapel Church, 8366 Hwy 45 East, Porterville, MS 39325.
