W. Reldon Leininger, age 78, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, passed away on April 20, 2026. Born on May 15, 1947, Reldon was a man of deep faith and diverse passions who lived a life defined by devotion to his family, his country, and his community.

Reldon served his country in many ways, but his proudest service was to the United States Navy, where he spent 27 years as a naval aviator. This career reflected his deep commitment to service and his lifelong love for flight. He was a proud member of several organizations, including the GBUMC Life Group, the Order of Daedalians, the Santa Rosa Yacht Club, the Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association, and the Order of Elks. His zest for life was evident in his many hobbies; he cherished his 1965 Cobra, spent many happy hours on his various boats, and loved hitting the open road on his Harley-Davidson or setting off on camping adventures in his Airstream.

He is preceded in death by his father, Wilfred Leininger, and his mother, Helen.

Reldon’s legacy lives on through his beloved wife of 57 years, Patricia; his daughter, Erin (Scott); and his son, Michael (Dawn). He was a doting "Papa" who will be deeply missed by his four grandsons, Evan, Ryan, Davis, and Garrett. Reldon loved the Lord, his church, and his extended family, and he leaves behind many dear friends across the country, as well as his faithful dog, Lucy.

A celebration of Reldon’s life will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church. Friends and family are invited to gather in the reception hall immediately following the service to share memories and honor his journey.
