Dr. Warren W. Sears, 91, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014. A resident of Pensacola for 50 years, he was born to John and Ruth Sears on March 8, 1922 in Concord, NC and had 5 brothers and sisters. Since January 1963, Warren practiced medicine in Pensacola as an Anesthesiologist. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine, June 14, 1953. Warren was appointed to the Honorary Medical Staff of Baptist Hospital on February 26, 1991. He was a member of the Cantonment Rotary Club, Krewe of Lafitte and long time member of the First Baptist Church of Pensacola. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Alice Sears; a brother and two sisters. He is survived by his three children, Ann Sears, Bill Sears (Susan) all of Pensacola and Rick Sears (Cindy) of Carrollton, GA; five grandchildren, Sarah Harrison (Ryan), Garrett Sears (Morgan), Alyson, Leah, and Brooke Sears as well as one great grandchild, Lincoln Harrison. Visitation will be held 10:00am until the Funeral Service to begin at 11:00am Saturday, January 11, 2014 at First Baptist Church, Plietz Chapel. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
