Willard "Scott" Mudge, Jr., 88, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus, on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

Scott was born January 10, 1936, to Willard Scott Sr. and Emily Mudge. After graduating from Pensacola High School he worked at Monsanto and started Professional Sprinkler Systems in 1973. Scott married Beverly Ann Burleson on June 5, 1956, and they were blessed with 2 sons, Gregory Scott and Jeffrey Keith.

Scott enjoyed traveling with his family to the Smokey Mountains, hunting, fishing, and golf. He loved spending time with his family. He never turned down a raw oyster. He was a Deacon and worked on the Security team at Olive Baptist Church.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents; his, grandson, Taylor; as well as a great granddaughter, Raylan.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Beverly; children, Gregg and Terri Mudge of Spanish Fort, AL and Keith and Dawn Mudge of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Lauren, Adam, Mallory, Matthew, Julianne, Blake and Brad; great-grandchild, Keller; as well as his beloved lab, Hank.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am until a Funeral Service begins at 11:00am Monday, June 3, 2024, at Olive Baptist Church, with Dr. Ted Traylor officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Brad Mudge, Blake Mudge, Jake Rodgers, Matthew Mudge, and Adam Mudge.

Honorary pallbearers will be Buford Creel, Jim Godwin, Bill Wiggins, Milton Clark, Jesse Fillingame, and Michael Callas.
