William "Bill" Milton Crawford, Jr. "Daddy" went to the arms of his beloved lord and savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. He was a devoted husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, as well as a loving friend to many. He was born on June 24, 1933, in Atlanta, GA to William Milton Crawford, Sr. and Emily Drake Crawford. He was married to Beverley Elizabeth King in 1956 in East Point, GA. They recently celebrated their 70th anniversary.

Bill was a 1955 graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology in chemical engineering. He served in the U.S. Army achieving the rank of First Lieutenant then worked for Eastman Kodak Chemical Division in Kingsport, TN. for 45 years. After retiring from Kodak, he served as church administrator for First Broad Street United Methodist Church and addition to many lay positions. He said he had done his service to the world and needed to do his service to the church. After moving to Pensacola, FL, he continued his service to the church, serving in several roles at Cokesbury United Methodist Church, and to the community, volunteering at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola. Bill was a Sunday School teacher both in Kingsport (Sojourners) and Pensacola (New Life).

Throughout his years, Bill stayed very active and enjoyed tennis, camping, and canoeing, as well as being an avid reader and writing his own poetry. Bill served as a Stephen Minister both in Kingsport and Pensacola.

He is preceded in death by his son, George Alan Crawford (Deborah) of Knoxville, and sister, Mary Alice Crawford of Pensacola.

Survivors include his wife, Beverley Crawford; children, David William Crawford (Vicki) of Pensacola and Elizabeth King Crawford of Chattanooga; 5 grandchildren, Chelsea Duckett (Brandon) of Muleshoe, TX, Shelby Elizabeth Crawford of Pensacola, Sarah Emily Crawford, of Baltimore, MD, Jamie Walden (Lance) of Rising Fawn, GA, and Jacob Dodd (Becky) of Mililani, HI; as well as 2 great grandsons, Liam Matthew Duckett of Muleshoe, TX, and Logan Christopher Dodd of Mililani, HI.

A visitation will be held from 1:30pm until a funeral service begins at 2:00pm Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Cokesbury United Methodist Church. A committal service will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

The family wishes to thank Vitas Hospice, especially Wesley Colelman and Staci Breanna Coleman. We also wish to thank caregivers Deborah Gould, Laura Jefferson, and Cherry Savage for their outstanding care.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Bill’s name to Cokesbury United Methodist Church, Baptist Healthcare Foundation, or the charity of your choice.
