William V. "Bill" Mimmack, 94, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016. Bill was born in Old Warrington aboard the Pensacola Naval Air Station on May 12, 1921. He graduated from Pensacola High School in 1940.
He served in the US Army during World War II where he earned the Combat Infantry Badge, the Bronze Star Medal and other citations. Bill retired from NARF aboard Naval Air Station as Supervisor of Planners and Estimators, was Exalted Ruler of Pensacola Elks Lodge #497 and a Life member of Warrington Elks Lodge #2108 and a member of American Legion Post 9240. For nineteen years, Bill did volunteer tax work for AARP. He was of the Catholic faith.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Mary of 51 years in November 2002 and his parents; his sisters, Roberta Gaudet and Catherine Wayne also his brothers, Robert and Fred.
He is survived by his sister, Ann Paulish of Norridge, IL.
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A Funeral cortege will depart from Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel at 9:45am on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 for Graveside services beginning at 10:15am at Barrancas National Cemetery.
