William Earnest Cobb, 83, native of Pensacola, FL died on Thursday, March 24, 2016 after a brief illness.
William was born on May 12, 1932 and raised in Pensacola. He graduated from Pensacola High School in 1950 and later graduated from the University of Florida. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and an avid Gator fan. William also served his country honorably in the US Army.
Upon marrying his high school sweetheart Ramona, they owned and operated Robinson Barnes Jewelry Store in Milton, FL. William was in the Florida Jewelers Association serving on the Board of Directors for many years and as President for several terms. He was also on the Advisors Board of the Southern Jewelers Trade Association.
When time permitted William loved watching football, especially the Florida Gators and he never missed the Kentucky Derby.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ramona Walker Cobb; his parents, Allison S. Cobb, Sr. and Bessie Mae Earnest Cobb; sisters, Ruth Cobb Arnold and Alba Chance Cobb; as well as his brothers, Allison Cobb, Jr. and David Cobb.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna Sanders (Roger) and Alisa Cobb; granddaughter, Taylor Sanders-Kyser; brother, Lamar B. Cobb (Jean) and sister-in-laws, Dee Counts (Cecil) and Jean Cobb Askew as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 10-11am Monday, March 28, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with a Graveside Service to follow at 11:15am at Bayview Memorial Park, Scenic Hwy.
Pallbearers will be David Mann, Bob Meadows, David Errington, Ken Errington, Greg Litton, David Wiggins and George Crooke.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ben Cobb, Stephen Cobb, Brandon Cobb, William McArthur, Gerald McArthur, Oliver Gore and Jack Gardner.
