William Francis (Frank) Strayer, 83, died on Wednesday April 9, 2014 as result of prostate cancer. Frank was born on August 29, 1930 to Edward and Mabel (Reisberg) Strayer in Philadelphia, PA. Frank served 20 years in the Navy as a Naval photographer retiring in 1967. He then spent 21 years in civil service as an audio visual program manager. Frank never met a stranger and had many wonderful friends who were very special to him over the years. His special love was playing golf which he did as often as possible. His golfing buddies had a very special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Edward Strayer and stepsons, Thomas Lybrand, Jr. and Richard Lybrand; sister, Joan Kilby and brother, Charles Strayer. He is survived by his wife, Josephine (Jo) Strayer; stepchildren, Joseph Lybrand, Debra Inabinett, Jennie (Kevin) McGlohon and Frances Eppig. Visitation will be at 10a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel followed by a Memorial Service beginning at 11a.m. Dr. Wesley Wachob will be officiating.
