Command Master Chief William Thomas Hunt, USN (Ret.), age 82, of Pensacola, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 4, 2022. William was born in Knoxville, TN to the late Thomas and Olive Fox Hunt. In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his loving wife, Malorie Hunt and his daughter Sandy.

William was a loving father of four, grandfather of six and friend to many. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He proudly served his country in the US Navy where he retired as Command Master Chief. He graduated from Nevada Union High School in Grass Valley, CA. He enjoyed Skeet shooting, cooking for his family and friends and spending time gardening. He was a member of the United States Veteran Group (Drum BASE). Through all his years of service he was Awarded seven Good Conduct Awards. He made rank of Chief Senior Chief, Master Chief and Command Master Chief under the rate of Sonar Technician.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the nurses who took care of Mr. Hunt at his home and to the Covenant Hospice staff for comforting him during his final week.
