William James McCay, Sr., 84, a lifelong native of Pensacola, passed away Monday, January 25, 2010. Mr. McCay proudly served his country in the during WWII in the U S Army, and was proud of his Cherokee Indian Heritage. He was preceded in death by his father, William McCay; mother, Gladys Anderson; brother, Louis McCay; and grandson, Jimmy Watson. He is survived by his wife, Linda Ruth McCay; children, Linda Calhoun (John), Billy McCay (Cindy), Pat Watson (Jim) and Cliff Meyers (Tina); sister, Ginger Mitten (Russell); special daughters, Janice and Joyce; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be 9:00am Friday, January 29, 2010 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
