Obituary

William James McCay, Sr., 84, a lifelong native of Pensacola, passed away Monday, January 25, 2010. Mr. McCay proudly served his country in the during WWII in the U S Army, and was proud of his Cherokee Indian Heritage. He was preceded in death by his father, William McCay; mother, Gladys Anderson; brother, Louis McCay; and grandson, Jimmy Watson. He is survived by his wife, Linda Ruth McCay; children, Linda Calhoun (John), Billy McCay (Cindy), Pat Watson (Jim) and Cliff Meyers (Tina); sister, Ginger Mitten (Russell); special daughters, Janice and Joyce; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be 9:00am Friday, January 29, 2010 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32504. HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
