Lt. Col. William L. Moore, Jr., USAF (Ret.), 91, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020.

He was born on January 22, 1929 in Century, FL, and raised in Atmore, AL. He served 28 years in the US Air Force as a pilot, Operations Controller, and Comptroller. After retiring to Pensacola, he received his B.S. Accounting from UWF and his horticulture certificate from George Stone.  Afterwards opened B & H Nursery in Pea Ridge, FL.  He was a member of the Sabre Pilots Organization and served in other service organizations including Past President of the Lions Club of Pensacola, and the Daedalians.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William L. Moore of Atmore, AL; sister, Theresa M. Griswold of Fitzpatrick, AL; wife, Honor W. Moore of Pensacola, FL, and wife, Dera L. Moore of Pensacola, FL.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Moore of Pensacola, FL; son, William L. Moore, III (Linda) of Hoover, AL; son, Robert M. Moore (Myra) of Pensacola, FL; son, Steven P. Moore (Susan) of Pensacola, FL; daughter, Susan D. Reed (Robert) of Washington, DC; and grandchildren, Trent Dill (Angie) of Milton, FL, Leslie Cunningham (Jeremy) of Milton, FL, Rachel Moore of Pensacola, and Matthew Moore of Pensacola, FL.

Visitation will be held 10:00am until the Funeral Service to begin at 11:00am Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, Pensacola, FL, with Pastor Sheila Bates officiating. Committal service will follow at 2:00pm at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore, AL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
