IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Stewart
Morrison, Jr.
January 13, 1948 – March 11, 2021
It's with great sadness that we announce that our beloved father, husband, and friend Bill Morrison has passed away.
Bill grew up in Pensacola Beach and Gulf Breeze, FL. Though he lived in Florida most of his life, he had a special connection to the town of Sewanee, TN, where he proudly graduated from The University of the South.
Bill opened Pensacola Pawn and Militaria, now The Trading Post, in 1985. A local mainstay for over 30 years, The Trading Post was a place where everyone knew your name. Bill strived to make all customers feel at home, and over the years they grew to be family. We thank Bill's friends for their support and all the great memories.
A lover of music, history, crossword puzzles, and a darn good deal, Bill was the life of the party. He will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Harriette and Stewart, and his daughters, Kate and Mary. He is survived by his wife, Beth, his children, Sarah and Will, his sister, Cathy (Arthur), his sister-in-law, Anne (Donnie) and his beloved dogs, Ginger and Buster.
A private family service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery and a celebration of life will be planned for the near future.
Special thanks to the staff of West Florida Hospital, especially his nurse Cherie, for their exceptional care.
