William McCrory Rainwater, 59, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016. He was born in Mobile, AL on May 20, 1957 and resided the past 20 years in Pensacola and he called it home.
William served in the US Navy 26 years, retiring as a Senior Chief.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cheryl Rainwater and by sons, Brian Rainwater and Jonathon Rainwater; and a granddaughter, Morgan Rainwater. He has lots of love from 5 sister-in-laws; 5 brother-in-laws, tons of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews; mother-in-law he adored, Eva Baird; a sister, Jayme Rainwater and many service friends and families.
He was loved by so many people from home and work and everyone that has ever met him. He was amazing in everything he ever said or did.
"He was my rock."
Visitation will be held from 1-3pm Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 12:30pm Monday, August 15, 2016 at Barrancas National Cemetery with Chaplain Ken Griffin officiating, and full Military honors will be given at the graveside.
A funeral cortege will depart at 12pm (noon) from Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Pensacola, 5 North "Q" St., Pensacola, FL 32505.
