Woodrow Wilson Gaff, Jr., 66, of Pensacola died Tuesday, November 25, 2014. Born July 29, 1948 in Pensacola, FL to Woodrow and Lillian Gaff, Sr., he attended Woodham High School and graduated in 1968. Woody served in US Army from September 1969-1971. During his tour in Vietnam he was assigned to the 196th Infantry Brigade as an Infantryman. During his service he was awarded 2 Bronze Stars, Purple Heart, Air Medal and CIB along with numerous other awards. Woody lived in Pensacola and Pace, FL for the majority of his life with a short stay in New Bern, NC where he retired from DOD, Civil Service in 2001 when he returned home to Pensacola. He was a proud, loving and supportive father to his sons. Preceding him in death were his mother and father, Woodrow & Lillian Gaff, Sr., brother, Perry and sister, Karen. He is survived by his 4 sons; Matt (Monica) Gaff, Ben (Adrian) Gaff, Jonathan (Heather) Gaff and Aaron; his grandchildren, Katelyn, Sophia, Kaydance, Ashton, Ryah and Ava; as well as a brother, Steve; sisters, Gail and Katherine; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 11am-12pm (noon) Wednesday, December 3, 2014 with Memorial services beginning at 12pm (noon) at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Chaplain Ken Griffin will officiate. Graveside service with Army honors will follow at 1:15pm at Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flower his sons request that donations be made to The American Legion or VFW in his name. Woody will forever be remembered for his love, support and friendship to all that knew him. Matt, Ben, Jon, and Aaron would like to extend a special thanks to everyone for their help and support.
