Obituary

Yolande Aurelie Jaccottet Overstreet passed away from complications of a massive stroke she suffered in November of 2019. She now is no longer suffering and is with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was born in Fribourg, Switzerland on September 11, 1934, to Charles and Yvonne Jaccottet. She lived in Switzerland until she met her husband Winton Overstreet when he was stationed at Wiesbaden, Germany AFB. They were married there and she came to the US and became a citizen.

They lived in Pensacola, FL and she learned English while working at the maternity ward of the old Sacred Heart Hospital and the Downtown Sears store.

Yolande later worked at Gayfer's (Dillard's) department store for 25 years and made many friends with her coworkers and customers.

She made more close friends while her kids grew up in Montclair neighborhood and from Brent ballpark. She loved watching her kids, grandkids, then great grandkids play sports. She was a great mom and "mom-moms" to them all. Her husband, Winton passed away in 2009.

They were living in the Mirabelle subdivision where she loved working in her yard and going for walks. She also liked to go get "milk and bread" 3-4 times a week, more so she could just bump into people and talk. She loved family gatherings, whether to go to lunch, listen to music and especially the Holidays. She also loved her daily phone conversations with her 3 sisters.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Yvonne Jaccottet; husband, Winton Overstreet and her brothers, Paul and Pierre Jaccottet.

She is survived by two sons, Roy Overstreet (Karen) and John Overstreet; grandchildren, Kyle Overstreet (Rose), Rachel Wade (Drake), Taylor Howell (Colin), Noelle Overstreet and Anneliese Overstreet; great-grandchildren, Kylie Overstreet, Easton Wade, Georgia Overstreet, Emerson Wade, Adam Howell and Jack Howell; as well as her sisters, Rosemarie Hodges of Tomball, TX, Rachel Yorston of Buda, TX and Denise Greene (Jeff) of St. David's, PA.

Visitation will be held 5:00pm-7:00pm, Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held 11:30am Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
